City Tour with the inside visit to the Hermitage

The Hermitage is one of the largest world museums. It was Catherine the Great who firstly acquired the collection of Dutch and Flemish masters in Berlin and initiated the exposition of the Hermitage. Today the Hermitage comprises over 3mln items from the Primitive Civilization up to the European Masters.   Besides the visitor gets really impressed with the elegant halls of the palaces, created by talented architects.

The museum ensemble consists of the 5 buildings: the Winter Palace by Rastrelli, the Small, the New and the Old Hermitage buildings and the Hermitage Theatre.

Recently the left wing of the General Staff building was passed over for the Hermitage Funds and expositions.
