The Strelna (the Constantine’s Palace)

Duration: 4,5 hours

The 21^st century returned back the Strelna site, as the pearl of a graceful lace of suburban palaces. Instead of the wooden there appeared a wrought iron beautiful fence, the light loaded up the palace and the nearby grounds. The main palace halls (the Marble and Blue ones) were restored. The Platz - a special drill ground for military exercises was turned back. The wine cellars and dungeons were rebuilt, including the terrace zones leading to the Finnish Gulf. The link of times is reflected by equestrian statue of Peter the Great, the founder of St. Petersburg.

During the tour you will see the palace inside, witness the main study used by our President of the Russian Federation as the Council Room.

Optional: The Travel Cottage of Peter the Great

A wooden cottage of Peter I was created in 1716, and was rebuilt by his order in 1719-20. The ensemble of the cottage comprises the green garden with bee- and fruit yards. The initial author of the project is unknown

The interiors are decorated with the arts and crafts of European, Russian and Chinese masters of the 18^th century.

You can find the finest collection of Chinese and Japanese vases in the palace halls. The Travel Cottage of Peter the Great is part of the Peterhof Museum Complex.
